Spend a little time with Spurn Bird Observatory staff to explore the diversity of wading birds the Humber Estuary, Kilnsea Wetlands and Beacon Ponds has to offer.
Learn the basics of plumage identification, learn their characteristic calls and vocalisations, learn the skills to get close to them and when and where to look for them!
With over 45 different wader species recorded at Spurn Bird Observatory, including the 1st record of Stilt Sandpiper anywhere in Britain there is no better place to get to grips with this unique family of birds.
On the day there should be around 20 different species of wader for you to get to grips with so you should take away a lot of new ornithological skills
